Therapeutic Photography
For the longest time, the camera has been my soothing balm, so when I teach Arts Intervention in Social Work practice, I have to remind students about the benefits of Therapeutic Photography.
“Therapeutic photography involves taking, analyzing and using photos for the purpose of personal healing, growth, or understanding, whether done consciously or unconsciously. … See how members of our community are sharing stories of depression, anxiety and more related to their mental health using therapeutic photography.” https://theoneproject.co/therapeutic-photography/
Time and time again, many of my clients have found peace, healing through the power of therapeutic photography. To learn more research the topic, and go to the site above or Phototherapy Centre.
You can also join me for a workshop on how I have used Therapeutic Photography. You can contact me at annecybaez@me.com.
