Silence
Every morning and evening, I walk. The world around me always seems new and promising. I carry my phone and take a picture. Sometimes, I take a photo with my hipstamatic.
I capture the moment.
To take a photo is to be present and in silence. For that one moment I am taken in my the view. the subject becomes a gift of time, a hush, a click.
Allow silence to be part of your life today, practice for five minutes if you can in the morning, at lunch time and again before dinner. This makes it easier to remember to practice during a busy work day.
Walk in silence and take in your surroundings.
See. Hear. Feel. Be aware.
Practice every day, sitting, walking, eating, creating art, living, even if it is for five minutes. Then see how you come alive. Again.
Being present is surrendering. It’s allowing yourself to be.
