Healing Power of Mandalas
This is Michele Faia’s Web Site: http://www.michelefaia.com This short mini-doc is about the healing journey that Michele Faia experienced while over coming cancer. Michele explains the amazing power and healing she received from doing the mandalas during this difficult period in her life. The video also talking about how she educates and helps transform others who want to learn how to create mandalas for themselves.
I first came to Mandalas when I was in college and I read Swiss physician and psychologist, Carl Jung’s book on Mandalas and later his Red Book whieh coincidentally I bought on sale when Borders was closing.
I felt so lucky when I found it on sale, I remember it was during a very difficult time in the summer of 2011. Mandalas have always been a healing source of inspiration, and finding the book that day was like the universe speaking to me, “I got your back” and “here’s something to have fun with”.
The book is huge, it is not the size of the palm of my hand, but requires it’s own stand. It was created by between 1915-1930, and in it Jun shares his dreams, coincidences, his imagination. It was never published until 2009.
This week in my lecture on Arts Interventino, I will be speaking to my students about the healing powers of the Mandala. I like to see creative Mandalas like the one’s created by Michele, they come from a deep source within us. May this video inspire you to create your own and may you heal what needs healing in the process of creation.
