About the Event
The honoring of ancestors dates to the beginning of humankind and continues to be essential for people from many cultures. This practice helps us connect with our ancestors, past and present, and repair the physical and emotional burdens within family and community lineages that often are unconsciously passed down through generations. Similarly, our bodies and our psyches also carry the gifts and strengths our families have bestowed upon us, so through ancestral connection practices we can learn to embody these blessings wholeheartedly. You can access this connection through many types of sacred and native rituals; it can be any type of practice that is centered around your unique experience and lineage that leads you to inquire, connect, ground, understand and/or integrate your past, present and future self. In today’s meeting, we will practice accessing our ancestral wounds and powers for an opportunity to connect more deeply with our lineage and practice finding safety, acceptance, self-love, and compassion within our bodies and with those around us.
